According to an investigation conducted by the Rumor Scanner team, the claim made in the post about the question leak on the first day of the SSC examination is not accurate.

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for the current academic year began today, April 10. The Bangla First Paper is being held on the first day. On the eve of the examination, a Facebook page named “SSC Final Exam 2025” published a post featuring several images of question papers, claiming that questions from the SSC and Dakhil examinations had been leaked.

Fact-check

According to an investigation conducted by the Rumor Scanner team, the claim made in the post about the question leak on the first day of the SSC examination is not accurate. In reality, images from the 2024 SSC and HSC examinations were circulated after editing the year to make it appear as though they belonged to the 2025 exam.

At the outset of the inquiry, the circulated post was reviewed and found to contain five images of question papers. Based on the word “Nemesis” visible in the top-left corner of the first image, a keyword search led to a report published by the online news outlet The Daily Campus on July 1, 2024. The report revealed that the MCQ questions for the Bangla First Paper of the HSC and equivalent examinations held on June 30, 2024, were coded using names of popular music bands. For example, the Dhaka Board used the code “Cactus,” while the Chattogram Board used “Miles.”

The same image was also found in several Facebook posts from that period. A comparison of the recently circulated image and the original image revealed that, apart from changes in the year and serial number, all other elements were identical. Font analysis indicated that the year was digitally altered.

Another image in the post, showing the word “Kapotakkho” in the top-left corner, was traced to several Facebook posts from February 15, 2024. It was confirmed that the SSC examination for that year began on that date. This specific image was part of the multiple-choice question paper from the Barisal Board. In the recently circulated version, the year was changed to 2025.

The third image in the circulated post contains the word “Nilnod” in the top-left corner. The same image appeared in several Facebook posts dated February 15 and 16, 2024, marking the beginning of that year’s Dakhil examination. The image corresponds to the multiple-choice question paper for the Quran Majid and Tajweed subject under Dakhil-2024. In the current circulated version, the year was edited to 2025.

The remaining two images in the post are identical and are also parts of the Dakhil-2024 multiple-choice questions for the Quran Majid and Tajweed paper. No credible sources have confirmed any question leaks in the ongoing SSC and equivalent examinations for this year.

Therefore, the images used in the circulated post claiming question leaks on the first day of this year’s SSC examination have been edited.
